Once it was a dream, a prayer for one person, of a family who responded to the call of God.
The call was to establish a school founded in His love that looks upon every child as a holy offering to Him. The Holy Child School of Davao (formerly Holy Child Day Care and Learning Center) was founded by Mrs. Victoria D. Leuterio in 1981. With humble beginnings, it started from a garage of two classrooms as a preparatory school. in 1982, the school moved to its present site along Jacinto Street.
With the prodding and encouragement of the pre-school parents at that time, Mrs. Leuterio, the school founder and directress extended the school's offering to the primary course.
With the increase in enrolment each year, the school offered a complete Elementary Course. Thus, the Pre-School and Elementary courses were given recognition by the government in 1986. The school then opened its portals to high school students and in 1993 the High School Department was recognized by the government.
Indeed, the Divine Father honored the labor of His children, and the school bore fruits abundantly. Responding to the call of service, the school opened its doors to the members of our community who cannot go to school on a regular basis. Hence, the Sunday School Department provided opportunities to those working students to earn a high school diploma.
The academe now boasts of two branches namely, The Holy Child School of Davao Green Meadows and Buhangin Campuses. The Green Meadows Campus offers a complete Pre-School, Elementary and High School Curricula, with two government recognitions, given on 2003 for the Pre-School and Elementary levels and in 2002 for the High School level. It has also opened its Sunday High School Program in 2003. The Buhangin Campus offers Pre-School and Elementary curricula.
The workers in His Vineyard continuously reap returns of blessings. The fruits served their purpose, that of multiplying goodness in the land. The HCSD continues to flourish as a leading academy, not only in providing training to our youth in the aspects of basic education but also in harnessing local talents in the field of sports and in global competitiveness in the Information Technology market. Thu, HC3E rose as a pillar in Information Technology education. It offers Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Information Management and Computer Science. The College Department also offers two-year courses in Diploma in Information Technology and Office Skills Management with Desktop Publishing and other short courses.
In the year 2004, the school continues to rise as a leading institution as it opens the College of Nursing, College of Commerce and the College of Education.

MISSION/VISION OF THE SCHOOL
By God’s grace, the Holy Child School of Davao
aims to be the primary multiple intelligence center in Asia.
We aim to develop individuals who exemplify Christian Values,
who strive for excellence in their gifting and whose actions
are led by a servant’s heart.
Dean's Office
The Dean's Office is headed by Engr. Cristella Suzette Velasco. The office is located at the middle of the College Building at the ground floor. The Dean's Office caters all academic concerns including enrollment, evaluation of the students and faculty, scheduling of examinations and the schedule of intramurals. Under the Dean's Office are the four department of the college department namely: Education; Business Administration; Nursing; and Information and Technology Education departments.
Registrar's Office
The Registrar's Office is headed by Mrs. Melrica Campus as the College Registrar. The Office caters student's evaluations and approval of subjects during enrollment period. The office is also responsible for keeping and releasing student's Transcrip of Records (TOR).
Administration's Office
Headed by Ms. Beth Lauron, the Administration Office is in-charge of all administration concerns including General Services, Human Resources and the Administration of Personnel. The office is responsible for ensuring adequate office supplies to every offices, hiring and evaluation of employees and other HR-related activities.
Guidance Office
The Guidance Office is headed by Ms. Aril Ann Protacia. The office is located at the second floor of the college building. The office caters student concerns about their good moral behaviors, developing their good values and ensuring that they abide school's regulations and facilitates the general student's orientation at the start of every school year.
Library
The School Library is headed by Ms. Rona Taboada as the school Librarian. The school library has different areas namely: Circulation, General Reference, Filipiniana, Periodical, Nursing, and Fiction and Textbook Sections. The library also provides free internet services for their online research and other activities in the world-wide web.
Faculty Office
The Faculty Office is located at the ground floor of the college building near the guidance office. This room provides working table and spaces for every faculty of the college where they can work with during their breaks and keep all their things.
NSTP Office
The National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office is located in front of the college building. The office is headed by Mr. Jerson Dedel. The NSTP has several activities including Leadership Training Seminars, Stress Management and Facilitator's Training, DAT Volunteers Training, Community Outreach Programs and other extension programs of the school.
General Services Office
The GSO is headed by Ms. Alejandra Doñio and Mr. Jun Lucagbo. The office is in charge of the school's cleanliness and sanitaion. They prepare the venue before and after of every activities of the school. The office also takes charge of the school security and orderliness.
Canteen
The canteen of Holy Child School of Davao is located near the covered court of the school. it is headed by Mr. Remberto Rombines and Ms. Monique Leuterio. The school canteen provides food services including snacks and lunch. It also provides catering services inside and outside school activities.
Computer Laboratory
The school has two computer laboratories, one in the college building and the other in the high school department. The personnel in-charge in the laboratory is Mr. William Manuta. The laboratory provides internet services and other programs to the students related to their needs especially for the IT students.
School Director's Office
The School Director's Office is located in the high school department. The school director is Mr. Paul Allan Leoterio and is in-charge of the over-all concerns of the school. Under this office are the administration division and the academic division.
